Patricia W. O’Connor is Charles Phelps Taft Professor of Romance Languages and Literatures (emerita) at the University of Cincinnati, and a worldwide authority on contemporary Spanish drama, with eight books, more than sixty articles and numerous translations to her credit. Founder Estreno, an journal devoted to Spanish theater, Dr. O’Connor has lectured in Spain, Argentina, Canada, Cuba, Mexico and the Ukraine on various facets of the genre and its authors. She earned her MA and PhD in Romance Languages and Literatures from the University of Florida and was recognized in 1997 as a UF Alumna of Distinction.
